How to Care for Your Fine Line Tattoo
Fine line and single needle tattoos require attentive aftercare to preserve line clarity and ink saturation. Follow these guidelines carefully.
First 24 Hours
Leave the bandage on for 2-4 hours after your session
Gently wash with lukewarm water and unscented soap
Pat dry with a clean paper towel - never rub
Apply a thin layer of recommended ointment
Avoid tight clothing over the tattoo
Days 2-14
Wash 2-3 times daily with gentle, unscented soap
Apply fragrance-free lotion once it starts to peel
Don't pick at scabs or peeling skin
Keep the tattoo moisturized but not over-saturated
Wear loose, breathable clothing
Weeks 2-4
Continue moisturizing daily
Avoid direct sunlight on the healing tattoo
No swimming pools, hot tubs, or ocean water
The tattoo may look slightly milky - this is normal
Full healing typically takes 4-6 weeks
